Dr Fergus Law
Fergus qualified in Medicine in 1985 and has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Substance Misuse since 2001.
In 2016, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for his contribution to psychiatry in the UK. He has also worked for the major national charity Turning Point (2013-18), has sat on several national expert groups, has published 15 peer reviewed original research papers, is a regular speaker at national conferences and training events, and is a co-author of the well-known ‘Samurai approach to opiate detoxification’.
He is currently a Trustee of a charity working with complex trauma and mental health, and another working with addiction issues. His particular interests are innovative techniques for detoxification and sustaining abstinence, including medications, implants, electrostimulation and psychological interventions.
